HOBART® FabCOR® 1100 Gas Shielded Metal Core Carbon Steel Tubular Welding Wire of 0.045" Dia produces smooth weld beads with uniform fusion and is intended for high strength, low alloy steels such as ASTM 514, HY-100 and T1 steels. Metal-cored wire is devised to have low smoke and fume levels while maintaining good chemical and mechanical properties. Diffusible hydrogen levels of the wire will be less than 4 ml/100 g of deposited weld metal. Wire with good wetting characteristics is ideal for quench as well as temper high-strength low-alloy steels and can also be used with standard CV equipment. It provides all-position capability when pulsed-spray is used and promotes versatility while minimizing equipment cost. High tensile strength wire enhances productivity while reducing heat affected zone and clean-up time. It is associated with E110C-K4 H4 class of wire and is used in single or multiple pass applications for welding steels that require a minimum 110000 psi tensile strength and low temperature impact values. Wire comes in a spool of 33 lb and is used in industries such as heavy equipment as well as shipbuilding.
