3M™ 8902 Series Blue 3.5 mil Polyester Tape measuring 2" X 72 yd features high temperature silicone adhesive for providing high heat resistance and adhere well to tough-to-stick to surfaces like silicone liners and fixtures coated with mold release. Tape having tough non-slivering polyester backing is ideal for splicing of silicone treated webs and for masking parts for powder coat painting. It is also used for holding parts or sealing vacuum bags during processing and for masking edges of overlap seams in metal bonding process. Tape offers excellent thermal, abrasion and chemical resistance while maintaining their flexibility and is removed cleanly from stainless steel, anodized aluminum and glass after a 5 hrs bake cycle at 350 deg F. It is suitable for insulating, edging, reinforcing, protecting, sealing, flash breaking, tabbing, roll closing and anodizing applications.
