Merit Abrasives Power-Lock Type XC Type III 4" Dia Coarse Grade Aluminum Oxide Surface Preparation Disc is made with a thick layer of abrasive grain that is bonded to a reinforced non-woven nylon backing for rigidity and aggressive cutting action than buffing discs. Hand glued disc features open web construction that resists clogging and is used for blending, cleaning as well as light debarring operations. Quick-change disc features resin bond for heat and moisture resistance. It features threaded central hubs that require 2 1/2 turns and a mount to support Norton TR or 3M Roloc TR back-up pads. Waterproof disc produces an excellent initial cut with outstanding life.
